Kagadi
Kagadi General Hospital will receive an ambulance in mid-next month, according to Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja.
The ambulance is one of the 116 type B ambulances that were distributed to constituencies across the country in November, 2023, in fulfillment of a commitment by the NRM government to improve emergency medical services through a national ambulance system.
But to date, none of the constituencies in Kagadi district has received the ambulances, which prompted the Buyaga East MP Eric Musana to raise this matter on the floor of parliament seeking response from the Prime Minister Robina Nabanja, who is also leader of the government business.
During plenary chaired by speaker Anita Among Friday evening, MP Musana asked Premier Nabanja to explain when the ambulance that was allocated to Kagadi hospital will be delivered to address the emergency referrals at the government health facility. He also asked government to renovate and upgrade Kagadi hospital, citing its current dire state.
In response, the Premier Nabbanja has assured that government will deliver ambulances to all the constituencies across the country, including Buyaga East in Mid-next month stressing that the ambulances are still undergoing an upgrade and that’s why their delivery has delayed.
